The Gerhard Herzberg Canada Gold Medal for Science and Engineering is awarded annually to an individual whose body of work, conducted in Canada in the natural sciences or engineering, has demonstrated persistent excellence and influence.
Nominations can be submitted by any Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Awarded to a scientist or engineer working at a facility in Canada.; Eligible facilities include universities, government and private labs.
Nomination consists of:
– A letter (max 4 pages) with the following headings that clearly describes the nominee’s achievements.
– Nominee’s NSERC Personal Data Form or Canadian Common CV (over the entire career).
– The names and email addresses of the six most important people in the nominee’s field from whom NSERC may request objective assessments of the nominee’s suitability.
– Terms and Conditions Form for Nominees signed by each nominee.
– Terms and Conditions Form for Nominators signed by each nominator.
