Established in 1973 by the late John and Alice Tyler, the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement is one of the first international premier awards for environmental science, environmental health, and energy. Recipients encompass the spectrum of environmental concerns, including environmental policy, health, air and water pollution, ecosystem disruption and loss of biodiversity, and energy resources. Individuals and organizations chosen have conferred great benefits upon mankind.
Persons or organizations making nominations should be knowledgeable about how their nominee’s accomplishments fit with the criteria above and will be asked a series of questions in the nomination form that can answer these criteria. Multiple nominations from a single nominator or self-nominations are not accepted. Nominees are retained for a period of three years.
Individuals and public or private organizations are eligible for consideration. Nominations from all parts of the world are welcomed and encouraged.
